Local businesses in town includes the John Deere dealership, T & H Walton Stores, also being the local Holden and Mitsubishi dealers as well. There are two supermarkets; one encompassing the local hardware store and the other the local liquor store, a hotel, roadhouse, stationery and drapery store, mechanics workshop, Wesfarmers and Elders, Post Office and gift store, Airconditioning and Electrical workshop, and Metal Fabrication workshop, not to mention small businesses.

Eneabba

The Eneabba townsite offers a general store (groceries and hardware), roadhouse, tavern, mechanical services (RAC) and smash repairs. The mineral sands minesite is run by Iluka Resources Ltd and produces 80% of the world’s rutile supply. Located on the Brand Highway, Eneabba is a principal rest point for tourists and trucks alike, and has the potential to deliver great opportunities for the entrepreneurial trader in the travel-rest market.

Agriculture

Waltons, Carnamah

Local farming includes cropping (wheat, canola, lupins, oats, etc.), and stock (sheep and cattle). Wildflower farming is also a growing industry in the region. All year round there are activities taking place; such as seeding (Mar-May), shearing (Jul-Sep), lambing and calving (Aug-Oct), and harvesting (Oct – Dec).
