Eneabba

Flowers from the region - Calytrix Eneabbensis

It is believed that the name Eneabba originates from the Aboriginal language, meaning "Small Water". The first known record of the name "Eneabba" appears as "Eneabba Spring" in the logbook of a surveyor named G. M. Nunn in 1903. This was used to name the spring where a wild horse-mustering stud was built in the early 1900s.

Located 280km north of Perth via the Brand Highway and 30km east of Leeman and the coast, Eneabba is a mineral sands mining town surrounded by some of the most extensive and spectacular wildflower displays in Western Australia.

The Eneabba townsite offers a general store, roadhouse (fuel and meals), tavern (counter meals), mechanical services (RAC) and smash repairs. Emergency services include a volunteer ambulance service, a silver chain nursing post, the SES, and the Bush Fire Brigade. The Sporting and Recreational Club has lawn bowling and darts, and is often open on a Friday night offering bar and meal facilities. The Eneabba Swimming Pool is open from 1 November to 31 March annually, and is a great spot to cool down during a long hot drive.
