Carnamah Walk Trail

The 1-kilometer trail commences at the southeastern corner of the Carnamah townsite, ascending behind the school as Bowman Street transforms into the Bunjil-Carnamah Road, near its junction with the Carnamah-Perenjori Road. Winding paths, designed for walking or cycling, weave through the bush alongside the Bunjil-Carnamah Road, linking to the driveway of the Macpherson Homestead before concluding at the homestead itself.
Several park benches are strategically placed along the route, providing opportunities to take a leisurely break.

Art and Heritage Trail

In the centre of Carnamah you will find a path adorned with heritage plaques, murals, vintage photographs, historical advertisements and artworks. The journey commences at the mural outside IGA on 6 Yarra Street, Carnamah, extending through the windows of Wallace’s News & Drapery. It then turns up Macpherson Street, running along both sides of the street and concluding with the final plaque positioned outside 46 Macpherson Street.

For those eager to embark on an extended stroll, the option is available to connect with the Walk Trail. This trail meanders through the bush behind Carnamah High School, follows the periphery of Bunjil-Carnamah Road, and leads to Macpherson Homestead. Starting point can be found just walking past the Carnamah High School towards the Macpherson Homestead.
